Uptown Dubai Unveils Massive Events Plaza to Power Next Phase of District Growth

A landmark open-air events plaza has officially opened in Uptown Dubai, strengthening
the district’s appeal as a vibrant business and lifestyle destination while supporting
large-scale international events and community gatherings.

Key Highlights:

• The new open-air events venue, developed by DMCC, spans 21,000 square metres at the heart of Uptown Dubai.
• The plaza can accommodate up to 4,000 guests for conferences, concerts, corporate gatherings, and public events.
• The space connects Uptown Tower with surrounding residential and commercial areas, forming a central community hub.
• Advanced staging, lighting, and digital display systems support year-round programming and international events.
• The project reflects Dubai’s strategy to develop experience-driven, mixed-use urban districts.
• Two new commercial towers under construction will add 62,000 sq m of Grade A office and retail space.
• The towers will rise across 23 and 17 floors, enhancing Uptown Dubai’s commercial offering.
• Upon completion, the district will deliver approximately 538,000 sq m of total gross floor area.
• Premium office space will account for around 232,000 sq m of the total development.
• Large-scale public spaces are increasingly recognised as economic drivers supporting business ecosystems and visitor activity.
