Stargate UAE Phase One on Track for Q3 2026, Establishing the UAE as a Global AI Hub

The first 200MW phase of Stargate UAE is progressing rapidly, with over 5,000 workers building the foundations of one of the largest AI data centres outside the US, reinforcing the UAE’s leadership in cutting-edge technology.
Key Highlights:
- Ambitious Infrastructure: Over 100,000 cubic metres of concrete have been poured, creating the foundational base for a 200MW phase of the 1GW Stargate UAE AI campus. The steel structure already weighs 1.5 times more than the Eiffel Tower, reflecting the massive scale and engineering excellence.
- Strategic Campus Size: Covering 19.2 square kilometres, the Stargate UAE campus is nine times the size of Monaco, designed to accommodate future phases of AI data centre expansion and cutting-edge technological development.
- Workforce & Collaboration: More than 5,000 workers are actively engaged on-site. The project is spearheaded by Khazna Data Centres, a G42 company, in collaboration with global technology leaders including OpenAI, Oracle, Nvidia, Cisco, and SoftBank.
- Advanced AI Capabilities: The US recently authorised the export of up to 35,000 Nvidia Blackwell chips to G42, a major boost from the current few thousand chips. This scale-up will accelerate AI computations, enabling the UAE to process data at unprecedented speeds.
- Global Significance: Stargate UAE will become the largest AI data centre outside the US and part of a global network of OpenAI-linked centres, reinforcing the UAE as a leading destination for high-tech investment and innovation.
