Abu Dhabi Unveils AED 82.7 Billion Housing Plan to Benefit 35,000 Citizens

Crown Prince Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has approved an ambitious AED 82.7 billion housing initiative, including 14 new integrated projects and multiple housing loan benefits to support Emirati families across Abu Dhabi over the next five years.

Highlights:

  • 14 integrated housing projects approved across Abu Dhabi with a total budget of AED 82.7 billion.
  • The plan includes 35,000 new housing benefits, with 26,000 residential units and 9,000 residential land plots.
  • A community support subsidy of AED 250,000 will be retroactively deducted from housing loans totaling AED 1.75 million.
  • Loan repayment terms extended to 30 years, reducing monthly instalments and easing financial burden.
  • Monthly repayment values will now be based on the beneficiary’s income and can adjust with financial changes.
  • Deferred-payment home purchase loans will be introduced for low-income citizens aged 25–45.
  • Citizens above 45 will be eligible for ready-built home grants under capital projects.
  • Land plot swap fees waived to encourage easier relocation and family community bonding.
  • The AED 250,000 support applies to all eligible housing loans issued after 2015.
  • New loan deduction policy: Max 10% of total income and a monthly cap of AED 10,000, effective September 2025.
