Abu Dhabi’s DMT and Aldar launch a strategic partnership to deliver 9,000 quality rental homes through integrated communities in MBZ City and Baniyas.

Department of Municipalities and Transport and Aldar Group have announced a strategic partnership to develop two integrated residential communities in Abu Dhabi.
The partnership will deliver 9,000 value housing rental units across Mohamed bin Zayed City and Baniyas, expanding access to quality and affordable housing in the emirate.
The developments form part of Abu Dhabi’s Value Housing Programme, supporting long-term urban development goals and enhancing residential options for a growing population.
With a gross development value of AED2.8 billion, the projects further strengthen Aldar’s develop-to-hold pipeline, which has now reached AED20.1 billion.
Aldar will lead the development, leasing, and management of the communities, while DMT provides long-term leasing rights over the land.
The Baniyas development, strategically located along the Abu Dhabi–Al Ain (E22) highway, will feature more than 30 residential buildings within a mixed-use community.
The project will include residential units, retail spaces, recreational amenities, and open green areas designed to support a balanced and community-focused lifestyle.
The second development in Mohamed bin Zayed City will feature a mixed-use residential community with single occupancy accommodation and multi-tenant apartments.
On-site amenities and ancillary retail spaces will support residents’ day-to-day needs, enhancing convenience and livability.
Both communities are designed with accessibility in mind, offering direct connections to public transport and major road networks.
The projects are scheduled for completion in 2029 and will provide a diverse mix of housing options catering to a broad range of demographics.
